SSITM: Aligarh. Miss Mukul Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, SSITM published a research paper in Journal of Chromatographic Science (JCS) on “Qbd –Driven Development and Validation of Liquid chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometric Method for the Quantitation of sildenafil in Human Plasma”. The research is published on design approach for the development and validation of a LC-MS method to support the clinical advancement in determination of sildenafil in human plasma using lorazepam as an internal standard .Sample preparation involved solid phase extraction and calibration range observed between 3 and 1,7000 ng/ml. On the basis of linearity, sensitivity, selectivity, system suitability, stability study, accuracy the method perfectness was elaborated and on the basis of result of parameters retention time is suggested for sildenafil and lorazepam.

SSITM: Aligarh. Miss Mukul Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, SSITM published a research article on Elsevier science direct that is, under the heading of “Alginate –Based Bipolymeric –Nanobioceramic Matrices for Sustained Drug Release”. Alginate based bipolymeric –nanobioceramic composite matrices for sustained drug release were developed through incorporation of nano –hydroxyapatite powders within ionotropically –gelled calcium ion induced alginate poly vinyl pyrrolidone blends polymeric systems. nHAp powders were synthesized by precipitation technique using calcium hydroxide and orthophosphoric acid as a raw material. The average particle size of these was synthesized for sustained release which can maintain the drug therapeutic effect in MEC level. This type of nanobioceramic composite matrices as potential multiple unit drug delivery systems can be developed to encapsulate other drugs, which require sustained release action.
